Revocation of Atyaf Telecommunications and Infrastructure Bahrain W.L.L’s telecommunications licenses awarded by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s  notice published on 16 February 2017 on the Official Gazette, asking for comments on the proposed voluntary revocation of a number of service licenses awarded to Atyaf Telecommunications and Infrastructure Bahrain W.L.L (“Atyaf”),   TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice. 

Accordingly, pursuant to Articles 31 and 34 of the Telecommunications Law, the following licenses granted to Atyaf are revoked effective 06 April 2017. 

1.      Value Added Services Class License (VAS)

2.      Internet Services Provider Class License  (ISP)   &

3.      Individual National Fixed Services License (NFL)

For the avoidance of doubt, Atyaf  is not licensed to provide any telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
