Revocation of telecommunication licenses granted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s  notice published on 27 October 2016 on the Official Gazette, asking for comments on the proposed revocation of telecommunications licenses awarded to Voice Stream S.P.C,   TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice.


Accordingly, pursuant to Articles 31, 34 and 35 of the Telecommunications Law, the following licenses granted to Voice Stream S.P.C are revoked effective 22 December 2016.


1.      Individual License for International Telecommunications Services (ISL)

2.      Class License for Value Added Services (VAS)

3.      Internet Service Provider Class License (ISP)



For the avoidance of doubt, Voice Stream S.P.C is not licensed to provide any telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
