Revocation of Telecommunication Licenses granted by the TRA to Bahrain Broadband Co. W.L.L

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s notice published on 16 November 2017 in the Official Gazette and on TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed revocation of telecommunications services licenses granted to Bahrain Broadband Co. W.L.L, TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice.

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s  notice published on 16 November 2017 in the Official Gazette and on TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed revocation of  telecommunications services licenses granted to Bahrain Broadband Co. W.L.L,   TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice.  

Accordingly, pursuant to Articles 31, 34 & 35 of the Telecommunications Law, the following telecommunications services licenses granted to Bahrain Broadband Co. W.L.L are revoked effective 21 December 2017:

  1. Individual International Telecommunications Services License (ISL)

  2. Internet Services Provider Class License (ISP)

  3. Individual National Fixed Services License (NFL)

  4. Value Added Services Class License (VAS)

 

For the avoidance of doubt, Bahrain Broadband Co. W.L.L is not licensed to provide any telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
