Voluntary revocation of Value Added Services Class License granted to Mobile Information Services by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s notice published on 18 January 2018 on the Official Gazette and on TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed voluntary revocation of Value Added Services Class License (“VAS License”), granted to Mobile Information Services, TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice.

Further to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (“TRA”)’s  notice published on 18 January 2018 on the Official Gazette and on TRA website, asking for comments on the proposed voluntary revocation of Value Added Services Class License (“VAS License”), granted to Mobile Information Services, TRA now advises that it has not received any comments and/or responses to its notice. 

Accordingly, pursuant to Article 34 of the Telecommunications Law, the VAS License granted to Mobile Information Services is revoked effective 22 February 2018. 

For the avoidance of doubt, Mobile Information Services is not licensed to provide any telecommunication services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
